Bareroot Hedge Planting in Haslemere

Date: By: Ben

Our hedge planting month is full steam ahead and today we were in Haslemere, Surrey planting some bareroot copper beech hedging to give some privacy from the surrounding properties and cover the existing stock fencing.

If you were looking to get a hedge planted at some point, now is as good a time as any to get it done.

We buy bareroot when we can and this is the perfect month to do it. The stock runs out in mid-late March generally and then you don’t get another chance to pick anymore up until November.

Bareroot are half the price of pot grown plants, shrubs and trees and they will establish just as quickly. With no soil attached to the roots it decreases the weight considerably allowing for much easier transportation and often eliminating the need for delivery if you have a van or a landscape company who can pick them up for you.

We have planted a whole host of hedges including laurel, privet, mixed native hedging, yew and many more and it is an integral part of any garden design to help soften up boundaries

If you’re in the West Sussex, Hampshire or Surrey area and are looking to have a hedge planted, contact us to get a no obligation quote at reduced rates until mid March.
